Yes, I know. One month is a miniscule amount of time to be blogging, compared to some other bloggers.
But, I figured, Why the heck not? I'm going to celebrate my one month anniversary for my blog.
:)
The past month has gone by very fast. My blog has provided me with something fun and constructive to do on my downtime, and I've found I really like blogging!
Thanks to all of my followers. I really appreciate you guys showing your interest in my blog! And I love reading your comments. :)
Anyways, I hope you guys all have a great weekend! See you soon.

"Waiting On" Wednesday (3)
Waiting On Wednesday is hosted by Breaking The Spine, to bring attention to the books that we've been anticipating the release of!
Three unlikely allies team up for a night of rebellion, romance, and revenge in a high-stakes dramedy from acclaimed young author Abby McDonald.
They’ve spent years at the same high school without speaking a word to one another, but that’s all about to change. Popular Bliss was having the perfect prom until she found her BFF and boyfriend making out in the back of a limo. Bad girl Jolene wouldn’t be caught dead at the prom, yet here she is, trussed up in pink ruffles, risking her reputation for some guy - some guy who is forty minutes late. And shy, studious, über-planner Meg never counted on her date’s standing her up and leaving her idling in the parking lot outside the prom. Get ready for The Anti-Prom, Abby McDonald’s hilarious, heart-tugging tale about three girls and one unforgettable prom night.
I really, really, really can't wait for this book. This one comes out April 12th, 2011. The synopsis makes it sound like it will be a funny, lightweight, interesting read. All I can say is that it's going to be a long four months until April!

You by Charles Benoit

This wasn't the way it was supposed to go.
You're just a typical fifteen-year-old sophomore, an average guy named Kyle Chase. This can't be happening to you. But then, how do you explain all the blood? How do you explain how you got here in the first place?
There had to have been signs, had to have been some clues it was coming. Did you miss them, or ignore them? Maybe if you can figure out where it all went wrong, you can still make it right. Or is it already too late? Think fast, Kyle. Time's running out. How did this happen?
You is the riveting story of fifteen-year-old Kyle and the small choices he does and doesn't make that lead to his own destruction.
Stars: 3/5
Cover: B
You follows Kyle, a guy with everything in his life falling apart, and the events leading up to when he basically snaps.
This book was really unique. First of all, this book is told in second person, which is pretty rare with books, I think. Also, I liked the fact that the end and the beginning had the same words, and it was almost like you could have ended the book, gone back and restarted it, and it would've been like a circle (sort of like The Outsiders). Yes, I do realize that last sentence made absolutely no sense. Please forgive my tired brain.
This book made me feel a couple of things: anger and sadness.
I thought that Kyle's home situation with his dad was depressing. I also felt bad for him that everyone basically assumed he was just a no-good loser who wasn't worth anything just because he was a "hoodie." I mostly felt anger at the end of the book, when Kyle gets screwed over by (I'm not going to say his name so that I don't give away the story). Anyways, the person just made me so mad! I could really understand where Kyle was getting all of his anger from.
This book was an extremely fast read, being just over two hundred pages, and the font big and the words pretty spaced apart, but it still took me three days to finish. For whatever reason, I didn't really get into the book until the very end.
I didn't think this book was fantastic, but I didn't think it was horrible, either. It was just kind of . . . there. I don't know. I don't feel like I wasted my time in reading it, though, which is good.
Another comment: I thought the ending was kind of weird. Not bad, but it just left me a little bit curious. Just sayin'.
I would recommend this book to people, just so that they can make their own opinions about it.
FTC: I got this book from Zoe.

In My Mailbox (1)
So this is the first official In My Mailbox on my channel! In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren. I was going to do it in video form, but I've been looking like a complete bum lately and I was too lazy to make myself even the slightest bit presentable to record a video.
I'm coming to you a little late, because I want to do these every Tuesday, but I didn't have time yesterday.
Books Won:
I'm coming to you a little late, because I want to do these every Tuesday, but I didn't have time yesterday.
Books Bought:
THANK YOU POPPIE!!!
(My grandpa is good at a lot of things, but he's especially good at funding my books.)
I've actually read this entire series (I love Margaret Peterson Haddix!) a couple of years ago, and I own every book except for this one. I wanted to have the complete collection, so I got this book for a couple of dollars off of Amazon. I can't wait to re-enter the world of the Shadow Children!
I've already read this book, too, and it's sequel, Glass. Since Fallout just came out, I wanted to re-read the series, but I didn't want to rent it from the library. Now I have my own copy! Yay!
I've been hearing a lot of great things about The Immortals series, and I've seen the books around a lot, so I decided to pick up the first book.
This book seems really interesting! I haven't really heard anything about it, but I'm definitely excited to read it.
I'm not sure if this is a YA novel (I'm pretty sure it's not) but it still looks really good!
This book has been recommended to me more than once, and I finally picked it up! I know it's about pixies, but that's all I know about it! Haha.
A couple of months ago, I bought the second book in the Private series, even though I didn't have the first book, because it was only a couple of bucks. Now I have the first book, and I can start in on the series!
I read this a little while ago, when it first came out, and I absolutely loved it. I had gotten it from the library. But now that the third book is on its way out, I wanted to re-read the series, and I loved the book so much I wanted my own!
I usually don't like Historical Fiction, but this book actually seemed good. Not to mention the cover is gorgeous!
Books Given To Me:
I live in the same town as Zoe from Zoe's Book Reviews, and we used to go to the same school. She had a lot of doubles of books, and needed to clear up some space on her shelves, so she graciously gave me some of her books! Thanks, Zoe. :D
I have no clue what this is about, but it seems like it will be interesting. It's a pretty big book, so I think I will be saving to read this for 2011, and use it for the 350-Page books challenge.
This is another one of those books that i have no clue what they're about, but have heard great things about. I think the cover is very, very pretty. :)
I've been eyeing this book on Amazon for a while, but I haven't bought it. Now I don't have to worry about buying it!
This book was actually on my Christmas list, so when she gave this to me, I shrieked. I was so happy. :)
This book was also on My Christmas list. I must admit, I am especially excited to read this one because it revolves around a dystopian society, and I love dystopian societies!
I am a very big fan of Sara Shepard, so naturally, this book had me the most excited. I read it super fast, and it completely lived up to my expectations! This book comes out December 7th. Check out my review here.
I am about to start this book. I saw Zoe's review on it, and she really liked it, so I'm pretty excited to see what I think about it. One thing that's very unique about this book is that it's told in second person.
Books Lent To Me:
(again, thanks Zoe!)
I really like Sarah Ockler, so when I got this book I was super duper excited. I finished this book in, like, a day and a half, and I loved it! Check out my review here.
This book seems like it will be really good. I've heard some good things about this book, so I can't wait to read it.
This book doesn't come out until April, and I'm very excited to be able to read it four months before it comes out!
Books Won:
Yes, I just won my first contest!!!! I won Delerium by Lauren Oliver, from Goodreads!
This book doesn't come out until February 15th. This book was actually on last weeks "Waiting On" Wednesday list, so I am so excited to read this book! :D
And now, a picture of the beautiful cover:

Yay for books! See you next Tuesday for another In My Mailbox. :)
Fixing Delilah by Sarah Ockler

Things in Delilah Hannaford's life have a tendency to fall apart.
She used to be a good student, but she can't seem to keep it together anymore. Her "boyfriend" isn't much of a boyfriend. And her mother refuses to discuss the fight that divided their family eight years ago. Falling apart, it seems, is a Hannaford tradition.
Over a summer of new friendships, unexpected romance, and moments that test the complex bonds between mothers and daughters, Delilah must face her family's painful past. Can even her most shattered relationships be pieced together again?
Stars: 4/5
Cover: B+
Delilah Hannaford is always getting in trouble at home. She steals from stores, her grades are declining, and she constantly fights with her mom. When she gets a call that her grandma (who she and her mom haven't talked to for eights years because of the fight they got in) dies, they have to go to her grandma's house in Vermont to spend the summer there, and prepare the house to be sold, and spread Grandma Hannaford's ashes.
While in Vermont, Delilah makes new friends, and reunites with her best friend from when she was little, Patrick. As Delilah discovers her family secrets, she also starts falling for Patrick.
I must say, I usually don't like to read books like this. I'm very glad that I did, though, because this book was amazing. I found myself flying through the book, wanting to know what happens next to Delilah, her friends, and her family.
When Delilah learned the answers to some secrets about her family, I'm sure I was as shocked as she was!
One of my favorite quotes from this entire book was after Delilah went to go see Patrick play guitar and sing at the open mic night thing that the local cafe.
-----
"You were stellar tonight," I say, "Seriously. How do you do it? Don't you get nervous?"
"Sure, but then I remind myself that no matter how many people are in the crowd, I'm only singing for one."
-Page 215
------
Isn't that the cutest thing? Haha.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book. I definitely plan on re-reading this sometime soon!
FTC: I received this from a blogger, who received it as an ARC.

So, I just finished The Lying Game by Sara Shepard.
